What we collect and why

We use your username, password and recovery-code hashes, sign-in sessions, and (if you choose Google) Google account identifier and verified email to create and protect your account. We store the photos you upload, garment descriptions, outfits, inspiration, wear history, AI results and feedback to provide your saved wardrobe and discovery features. We store your selected styles, clothing types, shopping region, likes, saves and hidden items to personalize For You.

We keep usage, request and cost records to enforce service limits, investigate failures and prevent duplicate charges to the service. Hosting and service providers process network and operational information when delivering the app. We do not add your account password or email to clothing-recognition or shopping prompts.

Photos and AI

Choosing a screenshot previews it on your device. Selecting Identify clothes uploads it to your private account and sends the normalized image through Vercel AI Gateway to Google Gemini for clothing recognition. Inspiration matching sends the chosen photo and relevant saved garment descriptions. Styling and creator tools send selected garment/outfit descriptions and your requested style or tone. Shopping sends detected garment descriptions and your chosen country to Perplexity search through the gateway, then uses Gemini to select from returned sources. These actions can produce errors; they do not verify a person's identity.

We resize and re-encode uploaded images and remove embedded metadata. Avoid uploading sensitive information unrelated to clothing. You must have the right to upload or use the content. We cannot promise that every provider deletes information immediately or never retains it; provider processing is subject to its applicable terms and settings.

Service providers and external sites

FitStalker uses Vercel for hosting and AI routing, Neon for its application database, Google/Firebase for optional Google sign-in, Google for AI processing and Perplexity for shopping search. These providers may process information in countries other than yours.

For You displays photos served by fashion publishers. Their image servers receive ordinary network information, such as your IP address, when an image loads. Opening a publisher or retailer link takes you to an independent site with its own privacy practices. Retailer checkout, payment and delivery happen with that retailer. FitStalker does not currently collect payment-card details or run advertising/analytics trackers in its application code.

Retention and deletion

Your saved account content remains until you delete it or your account. Account settings lets you delete the active application account and its linked photos, outfits, references, sessions, AI results and feed preferences. Deleting one garment does not immediately erase its image or prior scan history. Unlinked uploads older than a day may be removed during a later upload; photos referenced by saved scans are retained. There is no automatic expiry for saved scan history.

Security and spending records may be retained separately. Provider logs, backups and Google's separate authentication record may remain under those providers' retention arrangements. Browser theme preferences and installed-app files remain until you clear them in your browser. Account deletion does not delete your Google account or files you already exported/shared.

Your choices

AI actions start when you select the relevant action. You can use username/password instead of Google sign-in, change your feed preferences, undo hidden items, sign out, delete saved items, or delete your application account. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights to access, correct, receive, restrict or delete information, or complain to your data-protection authority. Send privacy requests to support@fitstalker.com. Requests may require identity verification.
